The Challenge

How can we find a unique packaging voice?

The Context of the Challenge

Valentis, a leading brand in the pharmaceutical industry, launched ZAN. However, the product’s positioning was unclear, and it needed a distinct voice to stand out in the competitive packaging landscape.

The Insight

The sound of “ZAN” and its intended effect evoke the ethos of a Zen garden. Adopting this perspective for the design and communication strategy enabled the product to develop a distinct voice.

The Change to the Context

Attracted Attention: A unique and slightly differentiated approach to pharmaceutical design allowed the product to be clearly noticeable wherever it was placed.

Extended Experiences: Aligning the packaging design with the brand’s visual language enhanced the storytelling of the founder’s vision and further reinforced the brand’s identity.
